PTAF [Audio] HOL UP

photo ptafpic_zpsffe483c7.jpg (Los Angeles, CA) - After finding success with their hit song, "Boss Ass Bitch," Los Angeles-based female Hip-Hop trio, P.T.A.F. (Pretty Taking All Fades), is back again. Rejuvenated and with more music to show the world that they are not just a Vine and YouTube sensation, P.T.A.F. has been steady at work recording new material. While the trio appreciates the platforms that Vine and YouTube have provided for the group, P.T.A.F. is proving they are more than a one hit wonder, or social media anomaly. By following up their success with a fresh new single called, "Hol Up," P.T.A.F. looks to solidify their place amongst the fast rising stars of the West-Coast and other female emcees that have paved the way for their movement and widespread acceptance. One such female rapper is Nicki Minaj who jumped on the remix of "Boss Ass Bitch" trying her hand at flowing over the boom-bap heavy beat, reminiscent of Hip-Hop's early days. Although the girls are proud of their success with Nicki Minaj, they are not yet content despite generating over 20 million views with their song "Boss Ass Bitch." This trio of friends is hungry and they expect to repeat with another catchy single that also shows off their lyrical ability and connection to the streets of Los Angeles' Crenshaw District in South Central-LA where they were raised. Having released "Hol Up, "You Playin", "Boss Ass Bitch" and "Fly Shit Only" the girls are in a groove with respect to writing and recording new material for their EP 3 The Hard Way, which is set to release October 27th, 2014. In addition to rapping the girls have played a roll in co-producing while also rapping, as Kandii co-produced "Boss Ass Bitch." In addition, several songs were produced by KC of Handlebar Muzik and Mayhem. Kandii, K-Ducey, and Alizé met at Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles, California, and the trio have been friends since. In 2012, Pretty Taking All Fades was formed by the three, and it was their creative way of expressing themselves. While the three women are pretty, they can and will defend themselves, thus the name P.T.A.F. "Some people might have easy lives, we don't have hard lives, but the environment we grew up in is sometimes violent. Where we come from if you're not real, you're gonna get put on spot." Kandy said of her Crenshaw neighborhood. Keeping that perspective the girls are fully aware of their environment and how their music can influence other young girls and listeners of Hip-Hop. As such, the group vows to make positive music that helps keep their fans on the right path. "Our goal has always been to motivate and to influence people on a more positive level, so right now our focus is to show kids and our fans that there's so much more out there in the world than they may realize," Kandy said. The trio is heavily influenced by the West Coast music, but the group also draws inspiration from their friends, family and each other, pulling ideas from their fun loving times together. In their spare time, the trio is known to crack jokes, and freestyle just for fun while hanging out. "We crack jokes, we be having everybody laughing, If we not cracking jokes, we just tryna freestyle" K-Ducey said. "Once we get a title and a concept we really start to have fun with the song. Now that we've had the success with 'Boss Ass Bitch' we're just looking to keep making better music being inspired by our fans, our family and each other," Kandy added. In addition to their new song, the girls have also launched a P.T.A.F. Official app via iTunes that allows fans to keep up with everything P.T.A.F.. From their new contest to the release of new material and more, fans of P.T.A.F. can stay updated on anything that the girls are working on. The app, PTAF Official, is the official mobile app for Pretty Taking All Fades. Those interested in the app can find it here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ptaf-official/id894460852?mt=8 Fans of the girls music can also find P.T.A.F. on the road at with So California High School Tour this October, November and December. Their tour is highlighted by an appearance at the Faded Lifestyles Custom Car and Bike Show Concert on November 16th culminating with their 3 The Hard Way EP release event October 30th, 2014 at The Attic in Hollywood.
